Keep in mind ladies, all of this is relative. No one rule applies to everyone. So don't go in on the poor chick at the MAC counter if you don’t look like Halle Berry when she's done!
1. Be sure to match your foundation to your face, not your hand. Chances are that your hand is a different shade than your face. Testing bases on your hand does nothing to ensure that its going to match your face.
2. Don't be cheap! The artist that did your makeup and had you looking all flawless and perfect used several products to make that happen. You want to duplicate her work? Get the things she used to make it happen. This is your face, don't play yourself.
3. Blend, blend, blend. Ever seen the chick that had on four shades of eye shadow and you could tell exactly where each one started and stopped. Like she took color pencils and made four separate lines on her eyes. Not the business ladies. Go ahead and cop a good blending brush and blend away the lines.
4. Blush is not your enemy. So don't beat it onto your face! Gently apply blush to your cheeks to give yourself a rosy look. Don’t pound it on so that you look like 'Homie the Clown.'
5. Take your time. No one has a lot of time to dedicate to make up in the mornings. An extra five minutes will make all the difference. If it takes longer than that, you're doing too much anyway
